Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana is proud to announce the addition of our new
service, Comfort-Focused Palliative Care. To accommodate this new service and the
growth of our hospice organization, Dr. Roger Lemmen, having over 20 years of pain
and symptom management, has united with Family Hospice as the Palliative Care Director.
Dr. Lemmen joins Dr. Bernie Wiebe, Hospice Medical Director and Board Certified
in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and in Family Medicine.

What does Palliative Care Include?
- Enhancing quality of life for patients suffering with pain or other symptoms related
to their serious or life threatening illness.
- Patients at any age and at any stage of advanced illness are eligible.
- A physician certification of life expectancy is not required. Curative treatments
may simultaneously be provided with palliative medicine.
