Your Support Provides Hospice Care for Area Residents

Family Hospice services are often paid by Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial insurance.
Unfortunately, these resources do not always adequately provide for the needs of
every patient or family served by Family Hospice.
We also rely on the generous support of community members to provide loving care
to those dealing with life-limiting illness. Family Hospice's Mission is supported by the community through the following:
Your generous support extends Family Hospice's care to people without insurance.
During the year of 2006, Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana received $58, 939.65
in memorials. We would like to extend our gratitude to those individuals who celebrated
their loved ones life through a memorial. We are grateful for their generous financial
support that enables us to continue our mission of providing quality care for terminally
ill individuals and their families.
If you would like to honor a loved one through a financial gift, please feel free
to contact us at (260) 589-8598 and ask how we can assist you in making this tax
deductible gift.
Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana will be holding their annual fundraiser on November 10, 2007.
The funds raised during this event allow our organization to provide quality end of life care to individuals who may not otherwise be able to afford our services.
This year our theme will be “Dancing the Night Away at the Family Hospice Fundraiser.”
During this event, there will be a dinner and entertainment along with a live and silent auction.
In addition, we will be giving away a Riverboat Cruise. If you have been touched by our services, consider marking your calendar to assist us in enriching the lives of others through our compassionate care.
After a loved one has passed, community members often ask if they can donate their
loved one’s medical equipment. Family Hospice and Palliative Care is more than happy
to accept these donations. Please feel free to call us at 800-355-2817 to arrange
a convenient time to drop off these items at our office.

If you have other gently used items that are non-medical that you would like to
donate to a worthy cause, may we recommend the Wells Community Health Services Auxiliary.
The purpose of the Wells Community Health Services Auxiliary is to financially support
health related services to the Bluffton community. In 1981, this group of volunteers
opened the doors to the Bargain Hut in Bluffton which receives donations of small
household items, clothing items and more, and re-sales them to the general public.
With their support, Family Hospice and Palliative Care is able to extend their mission
to those in need, but who do not have the financial means to pay for hospice services.
Another program supported by their generosity is our non-reimbursed bereavement
program which we offer community-wide to individuals who may or may not be on hospice
services. SueAnn Reynolds, CEO, states, “This auxiliary’s leadership and dedication
to the Bluffton Community is exemplary, and we at Family Hospice are extremely blessed
to count them as friends. A special thank you goes to the volunteers of the Bargain
Hut for their dedication and hard work which makes a difference not only at Family
Hospice and Palliative Care but throughout our entire community.”
If you would like to support the Bargain Hut, you may drop off your gently used
items to their location at 120 West Spring Street in Bluffton or call them at 260-824-9537.
