at St. Mary’s Hospital. Ms. Hoover then married her husband, Dave Hoover, in 1984

guiding force in my life and I believe most things happen for a reason which we
may not know for years to come. Often it seems as though the past meets the present
because of what we have experienced. Because of my experience with Family Hospice,
I was able to care for my sister who was a hospice patient and teach the rest of
my family so we could keep her at home. I can relate even more now to what our families
are going through as they care for and lose a loved one. That is the case for many
of our staff and may even be the reason they came to work at Family Hospice. Our
experiences help us to know what our families are going through.”
Ms. Hoover comments that it has been exciting to be at Family Hospice as staff has
increased, along with the number of programs offered and patients served. Ms. Hoover
